Ed Tech and Tech Safari

As part of Tech Severn, we'll be running a range of drop-in surgeries aimed at people who are unfamiliar with everyday technology but would like to know more.

The EdTech education zone will see security and education specialists on hand to offer advice on keeping families safe online, advice on popular education software and an opportunity to experience the latest virtual reality first hand.

Tech Safari is specifically targeted at those of us who have a disability, older people, and carers, these surgeries will be run by a range of organisations and businesses under five broad themes known as 'the Big 5'.

A variety of businesses from Shropshire and from further afield will be helping members of the public, both in store and at Theatre Severn, with various tech related issues, such as:

  • how to download various apps safely
  • how to order food shopping online
  • safer online banking
  • getting more use out of mobile phones
  • and more!

Some of the companies involved will be:

Further businesses will be announced closer to the event.

If you feel your company or organisation can take part in Tech Safari, then we’d love to hear from you.

Tech Safari is being funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, so we may be able to support your contribution. If you want to know more, or wish to discuss your possible involvement, please get in touch with:
